Mixer A and mixer B are both four channel mixer sections on the MIXZ. Mixer A has a gain control for each channel, with its out being internally routed to mixer B. Plugging a patch cable into the output jack of A will break the connection to mixer B, allowing A to be used as an independent 4-channel mixer. Mixer B is equipped with a master gain control, and sums its four channels, plus the channels connected from the Bus Mix and the output of mixer A (if mixer A is not in use).
The Bus Mix technology is a proprietary design from Tiptop Audio. It has been developed to mix signals coming from modules without requiring the use of patch cables to physically connect them to the mixer. This is achieved by sending the signal through the bus board and picking them up by the MIXZ. Tiptop's drum modules all feature Bus Mix enabled outputs, making this mode perfect for keeping your drum sounds mixed at the flick of a switch. You are free to decide which modules you connect to the MIXZ's Bus Mix and which you don't. At the back of each of the drum modules there is a 2 or 3 pin header, enabling this header by lacing the jumper to cover both pins will connect this output to the bus. The MIXZ lets you turn a mix of drum sounds on or off simply from the Bus Mix switch on the module's faceplate.
