The ESP Original Series Snapper is constructed from a solid swamp ash body, offering an enhanced low end with extra layers of depth. The ash tonewood delivers a classic rich, warm tone, featuring plenty of treble and bright characteristics to create an incredible amount of sustain. The swamp ash is then finished with a burnt-in appearance, enhancing its natural grain to create a truly stunning aesthetic. The combination of the ash body with the maple neck and fingerboard infuses the ESP Original with a strong midrange and a crisp, warm bass, making it ideal for a variety of playing styles.
The maple neck and fingerboard create beautifully bright tones, with even harmonics and a powerful fundamental character. The maple tonewood is the perfect choice for producing clear and present notes, with its strong sustain and sharp bite adding extra detail to the top end while tightening up the low-end. Its bolt-on construction enhances the overall tone with more treble and attack than traditional set-necks, offering plenty of articulation and upper fret access. The neck and fingerboard are designed with a U to V profile and a compound radius, offering the perfect level of comfort for chords, solos, and rhythm playing across the entire fingerboard.
Along with its incredibly precise construction and attention to detail, the ESP Original Snapper is equipped with a set of their Custom Lab pickups for a truly unique performance. The two CL-P-S-2 single-coil pickups are designed with alnico V magnets and a single conductor cable, delivering rugged tones with a stunning mid-high end. These high powered and expressive pickups are perfect for cutting beautifully through mixes, while delivering excellent cleans for solos and speed runs. The CL-P-H-2+ humbucker expands upon the original CL-P-H-2 pickup, offering more power while maximising its response to capture every picking nuance. Constructed with ceramic magnets, this humbucker tightens up the low-end to help retain its power no matter the playing style. The addition of ESP’s push/pull tone pot and mini mix variation switch expands the Snapper Guitar’s tonal capabilities, allowing players to switch between different configurations to suit a wide variety of musical genres and playing styles.
The Original Series Snapper is equipped with ESP’s own FLICKER-III tremolo bridge, designed to deliver a range of unique sounds and accents to enhance your sound. With its original hinge structure and free movement system, the FLICKER-III bridge produces incredibly stable pitch shifting effects, while its intuitive construction ensures each motion is a smooth as possible. The overall system is also made to prevent the frame from shaking and deliver excellent support for the picking hand.
The Original Series ESP is finished off with a range of high-end components to ensure players receive the best playing experience possible. The Gotoh locking tuners improve tuning stability while reducing string slippage, delivering a truly quick and easy way to tune. Their locking design allows players to ''lock'' their tuning in place, ensuring the guitar remains in-tune no matter the intensity of the performance.
