The Mesa Boogie Flux Five is designed to produce the smooth sound of amp-style overdrive with the same circuit as the Flux Drive pedal. When used with a clean amplifier, the Flux Five can be used as the complete overdrive link in your chain and produce everything from edge-of-breakup tones through to raucous high-gain sounds. When used with an already-overdriven amp, the Flux Drive will take your sound into increased saturation and can be used to create a sustaining solo tone - perfect for blues and rock.
The pedal features a Lo and Hi mode, so you can create vintage and modern tones accessible in an instant via the footswitch. This makes the Flux Five the ideal live performance pedal, with two overdrive sounds available at the push of a switch. No matter how overdriven your sound becomes, the Flux Drive maintains the sought-after ability of an overdriven tube amp in that it lets you hear the true character of your guitar.
The Mesa Boogie 5-band EQ has featured on high-end Mesa Boogie since the '70s and has provided guitarists with a powerful way to sculpt their tone far beyond what traditional amplifier controls can achieve. The 5-band EQ can give players access to the classic "V" profile with a mid-scooped tone for modern rock and metal, or it can create any number of EQ profiles to help your sound stand out. The Flux Five pedal gives you compact and portable access to the legendary Mesa Boogie EQ; it has the potential to either subtly or radically transform the sound of your amplifier.
With 5 sliders at preset frequencies, the Mesa Boogie Flux Five provides a wide range of control over your sound. Each slider is a long-throw design, created for fine control with up to +/-12dB of boost/cut. Whether you set the pedal for the famous "V"-shaped curve, or you use it for other tone-boosting settings, the Graphic EQ can radically sculpt your tone and have useful applications in any genre.
