First built by request and never intended for production, the RAT distortion has become one of the most recorded pedals in the world, holding an influence on the sound of many heavier guitar bands in recent times. A go to for so many artists, the RAT 2 signals the next generation of RAT pedal, providing then same classic RAT tones with excellent versatility to help define the sound of the past three decade’s most influential bands. The Pro Co pedal can be used as a primary distortion, excelling at delivering arena rock rhythm tones and soaring leads. It can also be used to boost solos and help you slice straight through the mix – adding that little extra kick. If all you need is a more consistent boost, this pedal can be used as your main focal point of distortion.

Powerful, intuitive controls

Featuring a 100 percent analogue signal path for vintage distortion, the RAT 2 Pedal features three powerful controls and true bypass switching. This lets you dial in the perfect tone and ensuring there’s no extra noise is added to signal when the pedal is disengaged – meaning your guitar always retains its natural tone. Turning the legendary rat filter control to the right rolls off any brittle high frequencies, and turning it to the right allows the natural brightness of your instrument to shine through the mix. The volume and distortion controls let you dial in the perfect gain for your sound, and keep the levels consistent with your tone.

Convenient design

The RAT 2 is housed within a virtually indestructible steel enclosure, and what’s more, the military-spec glass-epoxy circuit board ensures a long-lasting performance that is designed to survive all the trials of life on the road. The glow in the dark graphics pair with the LED on/off indicator to always provide optimum visibility on stage. Highly physically convenient, the heavy-duty, industrial footswitches, knobs and jacks, are all housed on a sloped pedal face which allows for easy stomping.
