Inside, Synergy’s innovative “0-watt poweramp” design incorporates a phase inverter and miniature transformer, faithfully reproducing the punch, sag and harmonic complexity of a cranked Marshall power stage at any volume. A three-position cathode select switch lets you tailor bass response and feel to your preference, while per-channel master volumes offer complete control over output levels. The JMP module recreates the core identity of Marshall’s legendary non-master-volume amplifiers, delivering rich cleans, crunchy edge-of-breakup textures and the classic Plexi roar. By offering two identical channels with independent EQ and blendable Volume 1 and Volume 2 controls, the module replicates the experience of jumping inputs while allowing far more precise tone sculpting. This gives players the authentic response of the original amp, enhanced with modern control.
Each channel includes a dedicated switch to choose between ’60s and ’70s JMP voicings. The ’60s mode provides a rounder low end and smoother overall response, ideal for vintage blues-rock tones. Switching to the ’70s mode tightens the bottom end and adds more bite, capturing the more aggressive tones that shaped rock through the following decades. This dual-voicing approach makes the JMP module incredibly versatile.
To fully capture the feel of an original JMP, Synergy incorporated a “0-watt poweramp” stage complete with a genuine phase inverter and miniature transformer. This circuitry reproduces the dynamic punch, harmonic saturation and lively response typically generated by a cranked power section, even when used at low volume.
