dUg’s Tech 21 DP-3X bass pedal is a compact adaption of his signature ultra bass 1000 amp head he created in collaboration with tech 21, delivering his signature tones and iconic characteristics. Also recreating the sound he original developed back in the 80s, where he ran a guitar and bass amp side by side to create a merging of high-end distortion with low-end bass, the DP-3X Pedal provides an incredibly streamline performance with excellent tonal capabilities many fans will appreciate. The all-analogue pedal also offers the flexibility to deliver traditional bass amp sounds and was personally beta tested by dUg himself during his European tour to ensure it can handle any situation.
The SP-3X Signature Pedal features a wide range of controls to create incredibly soundscapes with ease, featuring controls over chunk, drive, and compression while its 3-band EQ and master volume offers excellent tone tweaking. Activating the switch mode will engage the drive and chunck controls, letting you dial in incredibly distortion and upper harmonics to give your tone a unique characteristic. Pressing the gain button while mix mode is active will infuse your sound with additional distortion and compression, perfect for times when your performance needs a little extra kick. dUg’s Tech 21 Signature Bass Pedal is also fitted with a chromatic tuner, headphone capabilities, and an XLR output to directly send your signal to PA systems and studio boards without compromising detail, warmth, or responsiveness.
Since the formation of King’s X in the ‘80s, dUg has been one of the most influential forces in the world of rock, gaining worldwide acclaim for his pioneering use of the relatively unused 12-string bass. dUg's notoriety stems from his simultaneous use of guitar and bass amps to achieve a high-end distortion with a low end bass. The resultant sound was powerful yet sensitive, much like the man himself.
