Designed to be an easy-to-use reactive loadbox, it allows you to perform without a cabinet and play with headphones or at low volumes while retaining total tube tone.
The Torpedo also features a powerful attenuator for times when players want to keep their cab on stage, ensuring the amp can still hit its sweet spot at manageable volumes. The Captor also includes Two Notes' Wall of Sound plugin, with 16 virtual cabs to provide players with everything they need to start direct recording into their DAW. The Torpedo Captor provides players with a constant loadbox impedance comparable to speakers, while remaining low enough to drive the speaker in the ultimate way possible. This setup allows the tone to be picked up by the loadbox and transmitted to the speaker without any modifications, resulting in a beautifully superb tone.
Built to survive life on the road
Designed with an aluminium and steel chassis, this box is almost unbreakable. The Torpedo Captor boasts a roadworthy structure which can stand up to the rigours of countless gigs and recording sessions. In addition to its robust construction, there's also rubber feet for added stability, so place it anywhere with confidence.
We all make mistakes sometimes, and the Torpedo Captor has us covered. It includes an active security system which protects the player and the amplifier against any overheating and inappropriate impedance matching, giving you some extra peace of mind.
Wall of Sound plug-in
The Wall of Sound (WoS) plug-in from Two Notes offers a virtual alternative to traditional miking to achieve an authentic tone never experienced previously with simulations tools. Simply connect the amplifier's speaker output to the Captor without modifying any of your usual settings. From there, the Torpedo's output signal can be sent to any microphone preamplifier and recorded to your DAW, with the Torpedo WoS plugin embedded on a track. The Wall of Sound also comes with a library of 16 cabinets based on a range of popular models, ensure players can find the perfect setup for their music.
