More than a VCO

Many of the analog modular synths you hear are using off the shelf oscillators in a chip, making them all sound the same. Capt'n Big-Om is a unique design, made from all-analog components, giving the waves sonically rich and fundamental sounds like nothing else! With many oscillators, you'll find the standard PWM or FM, the Capt'n Big-O offers all of this and then some. Giving you sculpting options such as hard sync to external signal, manual and voltage-controlled pulse width modulation and even linear and exponential FM with dedicated attenuators. Each sculpting option can be modulated by CV, using a dedicated attenuator to dial in the precise amount of external control.

Not content with providing you with the standard level of wave control, the Capt'n Big-O also gives you a wavefolder to sculpt and shape your sound. By folding the waveshape, you can create more harmonics in the signal for a more sonically rich and deep sound, giving you a completely unique way to manipulate your signals. Any of the four wave types in Big-O can be patched into the wavefolder circuit as well as any external sound source to give you flexible control over your sound, even outside of what is capable within the Capt'n Big-O module itself, giving you a new world of modular experimentation, perfect for the modern musician looking to expand your tonal palette.

Unqiue drive circuit

Giving you a huge range of tone-shaping options, the included drive circuit can be used to give you warmth and fatness to any signal. Any waveform with Capt'n Big-O or any external audio signal can be patched into the drive circuit to give you a synth-voice sound that can give you an extra dimension to your music. Experiment with patching in your audio signals from external hardware, such as drum machines to give your percussion a huge sound that cuts through your mix with plenty of musical harmonics.
