Rather than relying solely on recorded samples, Yamaha combines these meticulously captured piano sounds with Virtual Resonance Modelling (VRM) and Grand Expression Modelling. Together, these technologies recreate the subtle interactions that constantly occur inside an acoustic piano, from string resonance and cabinet vibrations to the changing tonal character that responds to every variation in your touch. Yamaha has even created additional dedicated binaural recordings of both concert grands specifically for headphone use, placing you in the natural listening position of the instrument for a more convincing private playing experience.
