Layer classic synth voices with added polyphony
Each section of the Trident MK III has been upgraded with 16 voice, transforming the original’s limited polyphony into a much more powerful tool. The Synth section is now fully polyphonic, with individual filters for shaping each note. While the Brass and Strings sections remain paraphonic to retain their ensemble character, they each include dedicated filters for more control. These improvements allow for fuller, more detailed sounds without losing the original character of the Trident MK I and MK II.
Shape expressive performances with aftertouch and velocity
The Trident MK III adds a full range of expressive performance features. Both velocity sensitivity and aftertouch with channel and polyphonic are now supported. This means players can bring natural expression to every performance, whether they're shaping individual notes or whole chords. These additions make the MK III far more playable than the original, especially when combined with the real-time controls and modulation options available in the interface.
Split and layer sounds easily with Motion panel
The all-new Motion panel simplifies how users manage splits and layers. With drag-and-drop zone editing and one-click Quick Split templates, it’s fast and intuitive to assign keyboard ranges to the Synth, Brass, and Strings sections. Users can also add discreet vibrato, assign aftertouch modulation, and transpose sequences. The dual arpeggiators and 32-step polyphonic sequencer open up more possibilities for live and studio use, allowing complex parts to be programmed or performed on the fly.
Build custom chains with studio-grade effects
Seventeen studio effects are included with the Trident MK III, far beyond the original’s BBD flanger and ensemble effects. Each section from the Synth, Brass, and Strings can have up to five effects in its chain, with full drag-and-drop control. There's also a global effects chain that processes the full mix. Effects like compressor, ring modulator, lo-fi, EQ, delay, and reverb (including the new Lushverb) are fully editable, rearrangeable, and saveable for reuse in other presets, bringing flexible, DAW-friendly processing inside the synth itself.
