The System Interface features 3 channels that allow for stereo panning and a variety of signal routing options including post level auxiliary send with stereo AUX return, ideal for sending and adjusting the amount of effect to a signal on-the-fly. Additionally, the bus and main mix sends can be independently assigned to and from each channel providing versatile routing options. The System Interface provides a versatile headphone output that can be assigned to the main mix, bus or both allowing you to to have a different mix in your headphones or listen to the main mix. Furthermore the System Interface offers complex routing possibilities due to its 3 independent signal paths ideal for studio and live performances. Use the AUX send for adjusting and mixing effects or create an alternative mix, and use the bus for cueing up sounds in your headphones for a live performance, or even split the mixer channels into 2 independent mixers.
Pittsburgh's System Interface module features high-quality preamps on channels 1, 2 and 3 with an overdrive switch. When switched it offers 15x of clean gain with a unique soft clipping overdrive circuit ideal for when a piece of external, live level gear needs raising up to modular levels, or when you want to add some distortion to an already modular level signal. Channel 1 is designed to allow it to function as an input for any external sources without hogging a bus or AUX send.
Whilst channels 1, 2 and 3 have their own individual Aux sends, pan and features, channel 4, 5 and 6 share the auxiliary, bus and main mix controls. This is because most mixes don't require every channel to have a full compliment of features thus allowing for more channels on a design that won't take up too much space in your modular system.
