The Pittsburgh Modular Lifeforms System 301 is a powerful, comprehensive modular performance synth, comprised of multiple modules all anchored by the Pittsburgh Modular filter. This System 301 Modular Setup utilises a range of high-end modules to achieve this interactive modular system. At the heart of the system is the SV-1 module, a powerful analog synthesizer voice combined with the KB-1 pressure sensitive keyboard controller. This opens up a world of sound design, with a rich and versatile sound palette that allows you to achieve any sound you can dream up. The system also comes complete with a custom MIDI adapter cable, 12 x Nazca Audio brand Eurorack Patch Cables and a standard IEC power cable.
The core of the System 301 is the Lifeforms SV-1 analog synthesizer voice. This professional-grade synth module features dual, full-range independent analog oscillators. It also boasts a wide range of in-depth modulation control and a vast amount of patch points for sculpting your sound. The ergonomic interface features 53 patch points and 21 knobs in total, giving you full control at every step, including sine, sawtooth, triangle and square waveforms. It also boasts the exclusive blade wave on Oscillator 1, adding a unique feature to your sound design not seen on other synth modules. The complex modulation options and wide range and rich waveforms allow you to achieve everything from powerful basslines to cutting-edge leads.
Accompanying the SV-1 Analog synth Voice is the KB-1 Keyboard Controller. This highly unique keyboard modules boasts pressure-sensitive keys, providing you with a capacitive touch keyboard ideal for live performances. The KB-1’s one octave adjustable keyboard includes an arpeggiator, step sequencer, four voltage memory pads and dual trigger pads. What sets it apart from other keyboard controllers is the selectable Duophonic and Monophonic response modes. These differing modes allow you to select note priority and retrigger options, to customise the module for your own needs. The KB-1 features 11 outputs in total, and it even allows you to use it as a four channel sequencer using the 4-channel voltage memory.
The two modules are housed in the expandable and robust EP-207 Professional Eurorack Enclosure. The hardwood and aluminium construction not only looks sleek but helps to keep your modules protected while on the move. It boasts 104HP of space on the two rows, with 208HP total space available. The ergonomic design features a lid that fits over the fully patched system, allowing you to keep your patch cables plugged in, even when transporting the system. The edge to edge rails helps to minimise gaps between the modules and it comes complete with 80 black module mounting screws and 20 smooth sliding square nuts per rail. The exterior of the case features a beautiful hand-stained hardwood finish, providing a vintage-style aesthetic with matching black steel hardware.
