The Bösendorfer Grand Upright 130 reflects nearly two centuries of Viennese piano-making tradition, combining a compact upright design with a rich, resonant voice. Its construction uses a high proportion of naturally dried resonant spruce, allowing the instrument to respond as a unified vibrating body in much the same way as a violin. Carefully engineered mechanics provide accurate power transfer and responsive control, while hand-spun bass strings with steel cores and copper windings contribute warmth and depth across the lower register. Capturing the instrument's natural behaviour required an exceptionally accurate sampling process.
