The Yamaha 9000 Recording Custom kit gives this ADpak its focused attack, deep low end, and fast transient response. Known for its clarity and wide tuning range, it handles tight hip hop pocket grooves just as comfortably as explosive gospel fills. The five-tom setup moves from compact 8" and 10" rack toms to a deep 16" floor tom, giving you plenty of tonal variation for transitions, fills, and layered arrangements. Every drum was tuned to balance punch with body, helping intricate rhythmic phrasing stay clean and articulate while still carrying weight in larger productions.
The Hip Hop and Gospel ADpak was recorded at Riksmixningsverket (RMV), one of Sweden’s most respected recording studios. Founded by Benny Andersson of ABBA, RMV is known for its distinctive acoustics, extensive microphone collection, and carefully maintained recording spaces. Located on Stockholm’s Skeppsholmen island, the studio has become a creative hub for forward-thinking producers and musicians across multiple genres.
